We now have a process for receiving donations and can send out an acknowledgement for tax purposes. Checks need to be payable to "East
Valley Community Foundation, Inc" with "Lehi Community Improvement Association or Lehi CIA" in the memo field. Any board member can receive your donation.
Lehi Community Improvement Association (LCIA) was formed in the mid 1990's by concerned homeowners in the Lehi Sub-Area due to the need to communicate a consolidated voice on issues affecting the unique rural character in Lehi and to monitor development activity regarding the Loop 202 Freeway. It is a goal of the Lehi Community Improvement Association to empower and equip residents with the information they need to utilize city resources for the betterment of our community. It continues to act as an umbrella organization to address issues affecting the community such as livestock, zoning, heritage preservation, development, streets, traffic and stormwater issues.
The Lehi Community Improvement Association Advisory Board Members are:
Michelle McCroskey
Leo Archer
Kim Warden
Kim VanRiper
Marilyn Crosby
David L. Beaty
Robert Walker

The 2050 General Plan is Mesa’s long-range visioning document that helps shape the future of communities throughout Mesa. This November, in addition to candidates for a number of public offices Mesa Residents will vote on the adoption of proposed plan at the 2024 election. The plan recognizes the varying character of neighborhoods from rural residential to urban centers. The Plan creates overlays to identify areas to conserve, sustain, and evolve. The use of maps and illustrations should serve as a better guide to serve residents as questions are faced affecting their communities.

We had a very successful tour of the greater Lehi area by city staff and Mesa General plan representatives. The visit was an opportunity for the team to see first hand the uniqueness and importance of the Lehi area.
Thank you to the all advisory board members who attended and special thanks to the Orange patch, The Bread Brothers and Lehi Flower and Vegetable for the fun goodie bags donated for the visit. A special thanks also to Rovert and Loretta Walker for providing Transportation and all community members who participated. The Lehi board is continuing to work hard to preserve our unique neighborhood!
July 4th is just around the corner so it's a good time to remind everyone the rules around setting off fireworks in the City of Mesa-- what's allowed,
what's NOT allowed, possible fines and how to report.
WHAT'S ALLOWED:
This comes from the City of Mesa website "Frequently Asked Questions":
Fireworks: Are fireworks legal and when can I use them?
The use, discharge or ignition of permissible consumer fireworks
<https://fire.mesaaz.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/5994/636940451980300000>
is limited to:
The key is "permissible consumer fireworks" which are defined on the attached handout. They include sparklers and other "non aerial" consumer
fireworks and again only on the dates and times noted above.
WHAT'S NOT ALLOWED:
What happens to those that violate the law? it looks like $500 up to $2500 for repeat offenders.. See Mesa City Code Title 6 Chapter 21 CHAPTER 21 -
FIREWORKS AND PERMISSIBLE CONSUMER FIREWORKS
<https://library.municode.com/az/mesa/codes/code_of_ordinances?nodeId=COOR_TIT6PORE_CH21FIPECOFI> for more information.
How to report - use the Police Non-Emergency line 480-644-2211; If injuries or fire, call 911.
What's all the fuss about? AKA "what could possible go wrong". Within the last two years In Lehi, we've had several pasture fires, injuries to horses,
and other livestock - several had to be sedated and one ended having to be put down after suffering a stroke. The closer they are to the fireworks the
worse it gets.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and fund our mission.
